Are you looking for the
tools to create a calm and empowering birth experience?
I’m here to help.

Hello, I’m Sophie Goode Dip HB (KGH), positive birth coach and founder of Sophie Goode Hypnobirthing.

After qualifying as a KGHypnobirthing teacher in 2020,
I trained with Hollie de Cruz (Your Baby, Your Birth) to become a Yes Mum Birth Project affiliate teacher.

Giving birth to my two daughters using hypnobirthing techniques was such a positive experience, and it’s made me passionate about everything to do with pregnancy, birth, and supporting women and their partners on their parenthood journey. I can't wait to meet you and share my enthusiasm.

Hello

About Sophie

I live in Haslemere, West Sussex, with my husband and two daughters, and run my courses from home. My courses are also available in people’s homes within a 15-mile radius of Haslemere, across Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire.

After gaining my KG Hypnobirthing Diploma which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives, I trained with Hollie de Cruz (Your Baby, Your Birth) and now teach the Yes Mum Birth Project syllabus.

Thanks to using hypnobirthing throughout both my pregnancies and births – one medicalised in hospital, and the other at home in a birth pool – I know first-hand what a profound difference it can make to your birth experience. For me, it was life-changing, and I believe the benefits of hypnobirthing continue throughout motherhood. It’s not just tools for birth – it’s tools for life!

"For me, hypnobirthing
was life-changing,
and the benefits continue throughout motherhood"

If you have reservations about how beneficial hypnobirthing can be, let me tell you that I also had doubts. When friends and colleagues told me they actually enjoyed giving birth, I didn’t quite buy it. But as I learned more, my anxieties began to recede, and I felt more confident, relaxed, excited even…

Now I want to use my personal experiences to help other women gain the knowledge and tools to be fully informed in every decision they make, to feel calm and confident and to create the very best birth they can have.

About
What is hypnobirthing

What is hypnobirthing?

It’s a trusted antenatal birth preparation programme to equip you with the tools for an empowering and positive birth experience, helping you and your birth partner to let go of any fear and negativity you may have around birth and replace those feelings with a sense of calm and confidence.

Hypnobirthing is invaluable for any type of birth experience – hospital, home, caesarean, VBAC, water birth, twins, you name it.

It’s not magic – although sometimes it may feel that way – but it’s firmly rooted in science and logic. It doesn’t involve what you may think of as hypnosis – there are no pocket watches or clicking of fingers. But you will learn techniques to help you release tension and become deeply relaxed through pregnancy and beyond.

Key to it all is that YOU are in control. Hypnobirthing gives you the courage to listen to your instincts. You know yourself and your baby best.

The ideal time to start a course is during the second trimester from around 20 weeks, as this gives plenty of time for you to practise the techniques so that they become almost second nature. But it's never too late to enjoy the benefits of hypnobirthing.
